Following large number of entries at recent Avondale and Ellerslie Trials, concerns around Health and Safety issues have been raised. A meeting of the Northern Programming Committee with the RIU and NZ Trainers Association agreed that trial numbers for these two venues would be capped at 180 horses. In the event of numbers exceeding this limit the standard Trials Balloting Conditions will apply.
