The Manawatu Club has advised the L J Hooker Manawatu Steeplechase on 22 August will be run over 4400m not 4200m as originally advertised. The race was run over 4200m last year due to the meeting being run on the inside bend. This year they race on the outside bend so will move back to the historical distance of 4400m.
