She relaxed well in running and unleashed an incredible finish to run closing sectionals faster than some sprint races! Based on that, she has to be very hard to beat in the Derby.

Ascend The Throne

If there is any chink in her armour, he is the one to down her colours. He races like a stayer and had to change ground a couple of times in the straight and got home in the second best sectionals looking like he will relish 2400 metres.

Race 7 Ellerslie, 17 February

Fierce Flight

In a race that suited the on pace runners, he got home very nicely in very good sectionals to grab seventh placing. He ran a terrific second in the Wellington Cup and looks set to go close in the Auckland Cup.

Race 3 New Plymouth, 16 February

Guzzler 

After being slow away he settled last but once he got out wide on the last corner, charged home in excellent sectionals. He is a big fella and looks like further ground will suit.

Race 4 Taupo, 14 February

Irish Legacy

This well bred filly looked impressive when she burst away for an easy win in very good sectionals. She looks in for a bright future.
