Race 7 Riccarton, 12 August 

Shejengar

She was tailed off from the wide draw, but got to the outside and motored home for third in the best sectionals of the race. From a better draw than 15 next up, watch for her to win!

Red Vienna

After getting back, she sprinted home strongly for second in the fastest last 600 metres of the day. She lay in and was a tricky ride. When she steps out next, she must be hard to beat based on that.

Bush Mills Billy

From the wide draw he settled at the rear of the big field and they didn't go hard. But he pulled out into clear running with 300m to go in a sprint home , and let down stylishly to finish 8th.  He ran the quickest last 200 metres of the meeting so looks set to go a lot closer next up.

Race 1 Te Rapa, 12 August

Astilla

She just needs a decent draw to win her maiden race. She was last with 800m to go from the wide draw, and after being held up in the straight, ran home strongly for fourth in excellent sectionals.

Dashwood

This was his first run over ground and only a good ride on the winner beat him. His sectionals were that of an improver so watch out for him next up.
