Race 6 - #1 SHOW COURAGE (Win)

High energy galloper who got overworked last start when puncturing late over the latter stages of the 1300m at the course. Plenty of positives for Show Courage in this race – he’s drawn low (2), stepping back to the 970m, senior rider Joe Doyle takes the steer, whilst also dropping back from R75 company. There looks to be an abundance of speed engaged, however, I expect he has the toe to lead this field on his ear and should prove hard to catch if he can contain some of that energy he possesses. The $6.50 looks a generous price, he is obviously a risky proposition due to his tendency to overdo it, however I’ll happily find out at that price.

Race 1 - #3 ELUSIVE CAPITAL (Each Way)

Elusive Capital is a 22-start maiden, however, his trial leading into his last run over this track and trip was very impressive, before being parked four and five wide throughout first-up. He comes into barrier 7 here, which should give him a better chance of finding cover in the run. If he runs up to his trial prior, I can’t see why he couldn’t be winning in this sort of line up. The $8.50/$2.80 about Elusive Capital in this field looks exceptional value, I had him priced around the $5/$2 mark here.
