He’s a pretty smart 3YO who is amassing a handy record from his 8 starts. His win two starts ago was tough and then he backed it up with a brave 4th in the Wellington Guineas behind talented horses. Based on his record and form he should be a level above this field and the 2kg claim will be a big assist.

Summary

There should be no shortage of on-pace runners in this event over 2100m. I do expect #1 HIGH CHOICE to lead from his low draw but there will be a lineup of horses looking to head forward and try and find spots. With #10 POSTER BOY, #14 NORTHERN RAIDER, #11 KHAN HUNTER, #3 MEGA MOGUL & #6 RISING ROAD the bunch that will be doing the chasing.

Back (Win) - #1 HIGH CHOICE

If Hamish McNeill can get to the front and dictate the race as he likes, then I feel #1 HIGH CHOICE can run away and score here. He brings form behind the likes of MARK TWAIN and NOM DE PLUME from two of his recent starts. Ben Foote has him in great form and the 4kg claim will be a huge help here. I think he can lead throughout and score.
