In January 2017 the NZRB announced that an additional $4.77 million in funding over the next two and a half years to support the racing industry to improve stakes and address aging infrastructure and to further encourage the entry of young people into racing.  (see https://www.nzrb.co.nz/nzrb-industry-enhancement-funds-announced)

 

NZTR has been the beneficiary of the NZRB Stakes Enhancement Funds for the  current racing season to the tune of $515,000 with a further request of $81,000 to support the NZTBA Pearl Bonus Scheme.

 

These funds have allowed us to continue the support of Heritage Racing, special interest races and those other races listed in this table (click to view).
