Entry to most Te Rapa racedays is free of charge, however there are a few meetings each year that will attract an entry fee for those over 18yrs old. See raceday advertising or contact the racing club for more information if required.
There is ample car parking for patrons, food and refreshments and eftpos facilities available.

Featured meeting
The Club conducts three Premier Race Days:
- December - SkyCity Hamilton Waikato Cup Day Yay
- February - Legends Day
- May - Premier Jumping Day
Waikato Cup Day has the largest attendance of any meeting at Te Rapa and being so close to Christmas accommodates many end-of-year business functions as well as full utilisation of the corporate facilities. It is also a heavily family oriented day for picnics on the lawn and prior bookings for spaces are essential.
Legends Day is our elite premier meeting for the racing purist with two Group 1 races (Herbie Dyke Stakes and BCD Group Sprint) and one Group 2 race - the David & Karyn Ellis Fillies Classic.
The Premier Jumping Day attracts the jumping enthusiasts along with large functions and private groups oncourse. Te Rapa is regarded as one of the premier jumping venues and hosts our two feature races each year.
Course
Te Awamutu
In the heart of the Waikato, Te Awamutu is home to Waipa Racing Club and is also home to over 200 horses who use the facilities daily for training including grass and sand tracks, swimming pool etc. Te Awamutu is a prospering farming town, with a population of 14,000, 15-20 minutes to Hamilton Airport and an extra 5 minutes to Hamilton City Centre and just over an hour from the heart of the Bay of Plenty beaches.
