Auckland Thoroughbred Racing

Auckland Thoroughbred Racing was officially created on 1 August 2021, marking an exciting new chapter for racing in Auckland. The amalgamation of Auckland Racing Club with Counties Racing Club to form the new entity Auckland Thoroughbred Racing Inc. created an historic new body with the goal of ensuring a more vibrant and sustainable future for thoroughbred racing across the entire Auckland region. Auckland Thoroughbred Racing operates two racecourses – Ellerslie, located in central Auckland and regarded as New Zealand’s premier track with racing conducted on a StrathAyr surface – and Pukekohe Park, set amongst the rural surrounds of Pukekohe and offering the added benefits of a training centre. In addition to operating two racecourses – Ellerslie and Pukekohe Park – Auckland Thoroughbred Racing also operates a 364-day per year function venue under the banner of Ellerslie Events.

Membership: Annual subscription ranges from $40 - $240. Some membership benefits include:

• Complimentary general admission (gate entry) to all Auckland Thoroughbred Racing Inc. racedays held at Ellerslie and Pukekohe Park
• Complimentary entry into the members’ stands at Ellerslie and Pukekohe Park
• Ability to purchase annual guest cards for use at Ellerslie and Pukekohe Park
• Ability to purchase daily guest passes at Ellerslie
• Discount on raceday food & beverage
• Exclusive access into the members-only area on level two of the Ascot Stand at Ellerslie and into the Fulton Lounge at Pukekohe Park
