Hawera Racecourse is home to the Egmont Racing Club. A roomy track acknowledged as being one of the better tracks in the Central Districts.

The venue has two Grandstands; the Members have four lounges, 3 upstairs and 1 below. It can provide corporate facilities for parties up to 100. The Public Grandstand has a large concrete steps providing excellent viewing of the course.
Membership cost is $30 per annum which provides Members facilities for two at each raceday.
