NZTR has confirmed the prizemoney and Bonus Eligible Race programme for the 2027 NZB Kiwi, which will be held at Ellerslie Racecourse on Champions Day, Saturday 6 March.

Base prizemoney will increase by $500,000 to $4.5 million, with every runner receiving at least $175,000.

The $1 million Bonus Eligible Race Pool will also return for 2027.

A horse that wins a designated Bonus Eligible Race will qualify for an additional payment if it finishes in the first three placings of the 2027 NZB Kiwi (1st - $600,000; 2nd - $250,000; 3rd - $150,000). A horse does not need to have secured an NZB Kiwi slot when it wins a Bonus Eligible Race to qualify.
