The Racing Integrity Board (RIB) have received a number of enquiries seeking clarification on the current inter-island horse travel requirements.

If you are planning to transport horses between the North and South Islands please read the Industry Advisory – Strangles – Inter-Island Horse Travel, which explains the requirements for different travel scenarios and aligns with the current Strangles Directive.

A reminder that horses travelling from the North Island to the South Island must:

• Meet all current Strangles travel requirements.
• Complete the RIB North Island to South Island Strangles Travel Declaration Form.
• Email the completed form to [email protected] and receive approval from the RIB before travel.
