Sweynesse Stakes Prize Money Lifted to $140,000
The Rotorua Racing Club, in conjunction with New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing (NZTR), has confirmed that the Group 3 Sweynesse Stakes (1215m) will be run for a stake of $140,000 on Novara Park Stakes Day, Sunday 12 October.
The $40,000 increase underscores the race’s elevated standing on the calendar and its significance as a premier weight-for-age target for New Zealand’s leading sprinters.
