Te Aroha Meeting – 31 August (Jumps)

Please note the following information for the Te Aroha Feature Meeting on Sunday 31 August, and in particular the jumps races on this day.

To protect the surface, especially where the gates are positioned, the following minor distance changes have been made:

  • Howden Insurance Pakuranga Hunt Cup was 4200m, now 4300m
  • Mdn Steeplechase was 3500m, now 3600m
  • Both Hurdles will be run over 3100m (Pakuranga Hunt ‘Vale Lamu’ Hurdle was 3250m)

All jump races will be restricted to a maximum of 12 runners and there will be no divisions of the Mdn Jump races. There are nine races programmed on the day.

The Club is mindful in terms of presenting the track in the best possible order for the two-day Feature Jump meeting on 19 and 21 September including the respective running of the J Swap Great NZ Hurdle and The Ben and Ryan Foote Great NZ Steeplechase.

This double-header is less than three weeks after next Sunday’s Feature meeting.
