After extremely heavy overnight rain (50mm in the last 18 hours) on a sodden track, and further significant rain forecast for the remainder of the day, Sunday's meeting at Wingatui has been abandoned. This decision has been made after a track inspection by the Track Manager, ORC Management and the RIB.

This meeting will not be rescheduled as other tracks in the region, including as far north as Timaru, are also heavily rain affected. 

There are grass track meetings scheduled for Ashburton next week and Oamaru in three weeks. 

NZTR will look at rescheduling the Pearl Bonus race if possible. Further information will follow on this.
