Following the partial loss of the Rotorua meeting on Sunday the following changes have been implemented:

• Sweynesse Stakes (G3) – WFA 1200m (not 1215m) will now run at Te Rapa on Saturday 21 October – new nominations apply for this race. These will close at the normal time of 12 noon Tuesday 17 October. Horses that were in the final field at Rotorua will be given preference for the new race. The safety limit for this race is 14.

• NZTR and WTR will look at nominations and may divide a race(s) at Te Rapa on Saturday. In the event of a division(s) these races will run for the full stake as opposed to being a consolation race with reduced stakemoney.

• With an Open 2400m race at Te Rapa, the Staphanos Classic (Open 2100m, previously 1950m) will be added to the programme at Trentham. This will remain at a stake of $80,000 and will be dependent on sufficient numbers at withdrawal time.

• NZTR and ATR are prepared to look at adding a race(s) to the ATR Pukekohe meeting on Saturday 28 October. Any decision will be made later in the week.
