The two open handicaps that were abandoned at Awapuni today (Friday) will now run at the Waipukurau meeting at Hastings on Sunday as Races 9 (1600m) and 10 (1200m). A number of these horses are looking to progress to other important races on the calendar including black-type races. All races will be brought forward one race with the first race now at 12.06pm and R10 at 5.15pm. While heavy rain is currently falling in Hawke’s Bay the track is expected to come back on Saturday and Sunday with the “best guess” being the track will end up in the Soft7 range.
