The RIB and club officials have inspected the Hawera track late Thursday.

It is currently raining and with more rain forecast tonight and throughout tomorrow morning the early decision has been made to postpone this meeting to Sunday 28 August.

While there is inconvenience for participants the alternative is to cancel the meeting altogether. All scratchings will be reinstated and new race times will be posted on the website in due course. Anyone that wishes to scratch will incur no fee.
