Cambridge will now hold a set of trials on Tuesday 1 February replacing the Rotorua grass trials that can’t be staged due to on-going renovation work. A 1000m trial for Group /Listed horses will be held prior to Race 1 at the Waikato races on Wednesday 2 February. Eligibility for this trial is for horses that have been placed 1^st to 4^th  in a Group Race and winners of a Listed Race. Nominations for this trial close on Friday 28 January at 12 noon (same time as race meeting nominations close).
