After a formal request from the New Zealand Jockeys’ Association it’s been agreed by NZTR to raise all weights by 1kg in flat races (including highweights) from the resumption of racing up to and including the day prior to the running of the first Premier meeting at Hawke’s Bay. This decision was taken after consultation with the New Zealand Trainers’ Association and a representation of racing clubs.
