The Hospitality New Zealand Canterbury Grand National Hurdles to be run on the second day of the Grand National Festival of Racing (Wednesday 7 August 2019) provides an opportunity to earn points towards a start in the 2019 Jericho Cup.

Run for a stake of A$300,000 the Jericho Cup is to be run at Warrnambool Racecourse on Sunday 1 December 2019 over the distance of 4600 metres.

The first three New Zealand and/or Australian bred horses across the line after the 4200 metres of the Hospitality New Zealand Canterbury Grand National Hurdles will be awarded qualifying points on a 3-2-1 basis.
