Summer racing continues at Ellerslie
Looking for your summer racing fix after TAB Karaka Millions? Ellerslie is the place to be again this Saturday, with stakes racing, entertainment and a glimpse of The Grand Tour on offer.
On the racing front, the Gr.3 Colin Jillings 2YO Classic (1200m) and Listed Fulton Family Stakes (1500m) headline the card, with boom colt Return To Conquer out to maintain his unbeaten record in the juvenile feature. In the latter, Group One winner and Ellerslie specialist El Vencedor is on top of the book with a hefty impost, with rising star Son Of Sun and class stayer Trust In You also among an intriguing line-up.
If you’re trackside, head to the Newmarket Lawn and join Flava breakfast hosts K’Lee, Azura and Charlie, who have plenty of games, competitions and prizes to keep you entertained in between races. Flava's own DJ09 will be taking to The Grand Tour stage to provide great tunes and summer vibes.
A popular feature at this season’s Grand Tour events, have been the Stables, with a wagering clairvoyant, disco bronco and ball pit among the activities on offer. This is your penultimate opportunity to experience The Grand Tour this season. With free General Admission, there's no reason to miss out! For $30pp, take a level up and check out the action from the Ascot Stand.
Auckland Thoroughbred Racing pride themselves on hospitality, and the Cuvee room will be open and available for $165pp. A gourmet food and beverage package, a cash bar, betting facilities and the prime view of the Ellerslie winning post makes this option second to none.
The Millions may be run and won, but nothing beats a sunny afternoon at the races with all ages welcome.
