No less than four black-type races will headline the card on the ever-popular TAB Counties Cup Day, set to take place at Pukekohe Park this Saturday, 23rd of November.

Fresh off a massive week in Christchurch, The Grand Tour Racing Festival is back in the north and will provide an afternoon of music, style and entertainment in The Lane, with tickets to this precinct now sold out. Beccie B and Pixie Lane will bringing the good vibes to the trackside location, the perfect spot to kick back and enjoy all the action both on and off the track.

The showpiece event on-course, the Gr.3 TAB Counties Cup (2100m), has attracted a quality field of nominations, including a number of Group performers including No Compromise, Nereus, Wolfgang and Qali Al Farrasha, alongside a couple of rising stars in Sassy Lass and The Odyssey.

If the Cup field wasn’t strong enough already, the Gr.2 Dunstan Horsefeeds Auckland Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes (1400m) is primed to be a thriller, with Group One winners La Crique and Campionessa, alongside the likes of Faraglioni, Hi Yo Sass Bomb and Jaarffi.

The juvenile contingent will have their first opportunity for stakes-level success in the Listed Counties Challenge Stakes (1100m), a race notably won last year by subsequent $1 million Karaka Millions 2YO (1200m) winner Velocious.

Last, but definitely not least, a dazzling line-up of top-quality sprinters will contest the Gr.3 Haunui Farm Counties Bowl (1100m). Three-time Group One runner-up Babylon Berlin will take her place, alongside Crocetti and Waitak, both having saluted at the highest level. One to watch will be Luberon, while last year’s winner Sacred Satono shouldn’t be underestimated.

The competition will continue off the track, with the Caci Pukekohe Style Stakes for the best-dressed ladies at the Cup! For the most stylish in the field, an incredible $2,000 prize-pack from Caci Pukekohe is on offer, as well as a coveted spot as the first Auckland-based qualifier for The Ned Prix de Fashion 2025.

TAB Counties Cup Day is fit to suit all ages, with our youngest racing fans also able to enjoy the free children’s activities, including pony rides, a mobile barnyard and a bouncy castle.

Hospitality tickets have been in demand and all have been snapped up, but General Admission is free on-course, so gather your crew and gear up for a day in the sun at Pukekohe Park.
