In the Wellington Hurdle of 2017 which was hosted at Hastings, Zedeedudadeeko finished 30 lengths last. He would go on to win the Great Northern Hurdle that same year in one of the toughest conditions the iconic race had ever seen - with a time of 6:12.4 to complete the testing 4190m course. He returned to contest the Wellington Hurdle in 2018, and despite the heavy track conditions he wasn't favoured in the odds, causing a blowout as the pride of Tauherenikau would absolutely canter in.
