The first of the black type races on the card today went the way of the Andrew Forsman trained Belardi (Belardo x Japonica), an impressive up and coming two-year-old who was able to hold on for the win leading from start to finish in the Listed John Turkington Forestry Ltd Castletown Stakes at Wanganui in the hands of Joe Doyle.
