She used every metre of the 2000m at Te Rapa this afternoon, but Apostrophe got up in the closing stages to score back-to-back stakes victories in the Gr.2 Travis Stakes over Saint Alice for Roger James & Robert Wellwood, in the hands of Masa Hashizume. Bred by Greenwich Stud, Apostrophe is six-year-old mare by Tavistock out of Cape South (Cape Cross), and was purchased by Kingsclere Stables out of the 2019 Karaka Yearling Sales for $60,000, and has won seven races and $314,810 in stakes for the Inglewood Partnership.
