Following complications during foaling, champion mare Verry Elleegant has sadly passed away. The 11x Gr.1 winner (Opulence x Zed) who made her start here in New Zealand well and truly put herself on the map when she dominated in the Gr.1 Melbourne Cup of 2021, capturing hearts around the world.
