Andrew Buick appointed Bloodstock Representative
New Zealand Bloodstock has announced the appointment of Andrew Buick as the latest addition to the bloodstock team.
Buick, who will commence his role as Bloodstock Representative later this month, is well-versed in the racing and breeding scene having worked for world-class trainers John and Thady Gosden and prominent stud farms the Irish National Stud and Arrowfield Stud.
The surname is also familiar to many in the industry, with his father Walter and brother William both successful jockeys, while brother Martin is a Bloodstock Consultant for de Burgh Equine.
“We are pleased to have Andrew join the team and bring with him great enthusiasm and passion for the industry,” said New Zealand Bloodstock’s Managing Director Andrew Seabrook.
“His international knowledge and experience will be of great benefit and we look forward to him working alongside Kane Jones and Patrick Cunningham in the Waikato.”
Buick, who is soon to arrive in New Zealand, is excited about the new role.
“I feel deeply honoured and thrilled to join the New Zealand Bloodstock team,” he said.
“With its rich heritage and world-class product, I am fully committed to building on these strong foundations and can’t wait to get started.”
