Al Basti Equiworld Dubai have extended their sponsorship of the Gr.1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas (1600m) and Gr.1 New Zealand Oaks (2400m) for a further three years.

The United Arab Emirates-based company have been sponsoring in New Zealand since 2017.

“We really look forward to continuing our investment and support for the New Zealand racing industry in general, but particularly in both Christchurch and Wellington,” Al Basti Equiworld Dubai founder and owner Mr Malih Al Basti said.

Canterbury Jockey Club Chair Dianne Logie said the club was delighted to have the continued support of Al Basti Equiworld Dubai.

The sponsorship at both Riccarton Park and Trentham extends further than the two Group One feature races, with the sponsorship of best turned out cash prizes for every race run at each venue.  

Al Basti Equiworld Dubai also sponsor the New Zealand Jockeys’ Association, providing branded breeches for each jockey and a financial contribution to jockey development and welfare.
