The Galloping Wekas syndicate are enjoying the heights of racehorse ownership after their filly Pennyweka won the Gr.1 Al Basti Equiworld Dubai New Zealand Oaks at Trentham on March 18. The Jim Wallace-trained filly will now have a shot at the Gr.1 Australian Oaks at Royal Randwick on Saturday after connections decided to pay the late entry fee to contest The Championships event. 

 

"I wish I could bottle this feeling." said part-owner Jo Starr, who spoke with SENZ's Mark Stafford about the experience of winning a prestigious New Zealand Group 1 and the excitement building towards Pennyweka's Australian run on Saturday.
