Ears Back scored maximum points on Saturday in Heat 9 of the ODT Southern Mile series, with an impressive win and is likely to start favourite in the final. Fireglow was the big mover shooting up the ladder from 35^th equal to 13^th equal.  

The series continues to be a great success, with 133 total starters to date, 89 individual horses for an average of 14.77 runners per heat.

The final heat will be run at Riccarton Park on Friday 24^th February, a Rating 75 over 1600 metres. A full field of 18 is expected.

The $100,000 final will take place at Wingatui on Saturday 4^th March.
