With The Grand Tour's phenomenal season of racing coming to a close on Saturday at Awapuni. Highlighted by the running of the Group 1 Courtesy Ford Manawatu Sires' Produce Stakes for the 2YO’s. The hard fought battle for The Grand Tour leaderboards has also concluded.

With a great battle between the top 4 jockeys, Opie Bosson, Craig Grylls, Warren Kennedy & Michael McNab raging for a number of weeks, it was Opie Bosson who reigned supreme with a total of 22 wins across the 20 meetings, just 4 ahead of Craig Grylls on 18 wins.

The Apprentice Jockey - Most Wins leaderboard could not be split with Wiremu Pinn and Tayla Mitchell finishing The Grand Tour on 6 wins apiece.

Racing out to an early lead, Mark Walker was untouchable on the Trainer – Most Wins leaderboard. Securing a whopping 28 wins through the duration of The Grand Tour, 17 wins ahead of the nearest trainer, Lisa Latta on 11 wins.

With constant changes on the Trainer – Strike Rate leaderboard, it is fitting that three trainers could not be separated on a strike rate of 4.00. Ken & Bev Kelso (12 starters), Allan Sharrock (28 starters) and Shane Kennedy & Anna Furlong (16 starters) were all rewarded for there consistency across The Grand Tour.

Another scintillating battle for the top spot on the Horse – Accumulated Points leaderboard sees the stars of the season Imperatriz (3x wins, 2x Gr.1’s) and Prowess (4x wins, 1x Gr.1) end with 5 points apiece duly sharing the spoils as the top horses for The Grand Tour this season.
