She’s a Maneater Tauranga Race 6 25 June

Fastest last 400 of the day which is encouraging from a stayer resuming over 1200m. She loved the heavy conditions making it 3/3 in the track conditions and taking her winning record to five from the 12 race day appearances. Keep watching as she steps up to her preferred longer distances.

Standout Sectionals

Cork Tauranga Race 3 25 June

A promising filly who was the fastest last 600m of the day. First up on a heavy track with no trials leading into it is always hard to do but this filly went past her opposition like they were standing still and raced away for a seven-length victory.

Mr Ghibson Riccarton Race 2 25 June

Fastest last 800m of the day. He was dragged back to last from his wide barrier before coming down the outside. He is an honest horse, who loves a wet track and is always thereabouts each start.

Matscot Riccarton Race 7 25 June

In the second of the 65 1400m later in the day so the track would have deteriorated somewhat by then and settled back last before storming home wide down the straight for fifth. Month between runs and will tighten up nicely for next start.

Te Atatu Memphis Rotorua Race 5 June

Although in the Maiden 2200m, Te Atatu Memphis’ sectionals were outstanding, running only 1.03secs slower for his last 600m than the 65 1230m race, the highest rated race of the day. Drawn the outside gate, he was dragged back to last before picking a path through them to finish off into second.
