MOONEE VALLEY – FRIDAY NIGHT

INDY ROSE WARRIOR [MEMBERSHIP PLATE]

Has had two starts in Australia for two excellent efforts at this track.  She showed in her first New Zealand start that she had plenty of ability and this field and trip will suit perfectly.

HUMBLE PIE [HANDICAP]

Migrated to Australia in October this year and his performances have been full of merit.  Trained by an astute horseman at Warrnambool and his effort at that track last start was good.

PASSING TIME [SPRINT]

Lightly raced daughter of Showcasing who has won two of three starts in her career.  Has loads of natural speed and is better than her last start failure here.

FLEMINGTON – SATURDAY

BROTHERS SHADOW [HOLIDAY PLATE]

Has been racing well in South Australia gathering three wins from six starts.  New Zealand bred gelding facing his toughest test here.

SQUID GAME [HOLIDAY PLATE]

A son of Shooting To Win who looked very impressive at his race day debut at Sandown when scoring well.  The runner up that day has gone on to win and the form line is excellent.

MURRAMI EXPRESS [HOLIDAY PLATE]

Smart three-year-old who had plenty to offer when last in work however has since had a stable change but this son of Shamexpress could be hard to beat while fresh.

HIGH EMOCEAN [HANDICAP]

Good stayer who is returning from a break but seems extremely well weighted and is worth thought.

IN A TWINKLING [HANDICAP]

Has now had three runs since arriving in Australia but he didn’t show much fight at Pakenham but can improve sharply.  Keep safe.

DEE KEEPER [SPRINT]

Raced with great success in New Zealand last year and has brought that form across the ditch with a win at Sandown and placings in other events.  By Keeper and should be kept under consideration.

DIRTY DEEDS [MYER HANDICAP]

Finished well at first start from a break at Moonee Valley.  Fitter here and will be hard to toss.

NORDIC [MYER HANDICAP]

Raced with great surety when last in work being highly competitive in Sydney has returned to Melbourne with Michael Moroney.  While he hasn’t raced since January last year this stable have winning ways and is sure to be hard to beat.

BASARWA [MYER HANDICAP]

Has been in Australia for three starts.  One of those was a close up second at big odds at Caulfield over 1400 metres when beaten in the closing stages.  His two other starts have been full of merit and has always raced well fresh and must be considered here.

COMTE [MYER HANDICAP]

A son of Pins from a strong New Zealand female family.  His last two efforts have been below par but could well surprise at odds.

TAVIDANCE [KENNEDY HANDICAP]

Can be hard to follow but is a smart son of Tavistock on his day has been given a quick freshen since failing at Sale and his chances will be enhanced greatly if the track is rain effected.

SNAPPER [FINAL HANDICAP]

Raced in the best company when racing in New Zealand but his form continued to strengthen once landing in Australia last year.  This year he returned from a spell with two wins at Moonee Valley and a placing at Sandown.  This son of Power is with the Moroney team and has been given a break since racing at Mornington in September this year.
