Surely this mare has to be a top chance back against all maidens next-up. She closed off in the best last 400m and 200m behind Gospodin, the winner of four races now! She handles a wet track really well.

Cross Roads Race 7 Rotorua 31 July 

He may have only finished seventh, but his three wins have come on slow or better tracks. And the way he closed off late (fourth best last 200m ) here when he got to the better ground, shows that once he gets on those better tracks, he can win again.

Brucie Race 1 Otaki 31 July 

To come from well back and flash late in the best closing sectionals by far in all categories, and after a 20-day break, does indicate he will be very hard to beat wherever he goes next-up.
