What made you want to pursue a career in racing?
I rode ponies from a early age and always had a passion for horses. I had a friend who was riding trackwork ask me if I wanted to come along when I was about 14-year-old and I've been hooked ever since!
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
What do you love most about racing?
The excitement of winning and getting to do a job I love.
What has been a career highlight for you?
Winning the Grand National Hurdle and the Northern Hurdle in the same year.
Favourite horse you've ridden?
That's a hard one, there's been a few! Definitely Mahanadi and Ave Marie to name a couple.
Favourite jockey?
Rachael Blackmore.
Favourite New Zealand track?
Riccarton Park and Ellerslie.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?
If you have a dream, go for it.
If you weren’t in racing, what would your job be?
Something to do with animals.
When you're not riding, what do you spend your time doing?
Helping my husband out on the farm and hanging out with our two girls.
If you could switch lives with someone for the day, who would it be?
Jennifer Lawrence.
If you could invite three people to dinner, living or dead, who would you invite?
A P McCoy, Rachael Blackmore and Ken Browne.
