For fashionistas around the country, it’s time to don your most colourful racing fashion and fascinators for racewear’s all-new virtual competition, aptly-titled Fashions off the Field.

Fashions off the Field is the final chance to pre-qualify for the regional final of The Ned Prix de Fashion 2021 - New Zealand's Fashions in the Field (FITF) final which features winners from regional FITF competitions that have taken place at racecourses over the summer.

Hosted by Auckland Racing Club, Fashions off the Field entrants are encouraged to submit up to five images and an optional 15 second video showcasing their runway-worthy racewear outfits.

Interested? We’ve chatted to a couple of the competition’s judges, to get their top tips and help you put together a killer outfit!

Wear something you feel confident in, while still pushing your style boundaries. A winning fashion in (or off!) the field outfit should stand out from the rest and have the ‘wow’ factor.” - Bridgette O’Sullivan

General stuff; make sure your whole outfit is thought about. Don’t discount accessories as it can really pull an outfit together. Personally, for fashion in (or off!) the field, I love almost over accessorising. The most important thing is to enter to have fun! Showcase your own personal vibe in your outfit and really let your creativity shine.”- Hannah Marinkovich
