Heat 2 - Our Modena: The 4YO mare ravelled nicely on the synthetic track under apprentice Masa Hashizume and kicked clear in the final stages of the trial. The Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman trained galloper is lightly trained with only 5 starts to date but is in the right camp wearing the colours of Tony Rider who has had a number of winners this year.

 

 

Heat 8 - Flying Amelia: The 2YO daughter of Flying Artie sat back during the running and made a late move to secure the trial. Jockey Jasmine Fawcett didn't ask too much of the juvenile when making her move and trainers Simon & Katrina Alexander shouldn't have any problems with this filly going forward.
