Kiwi trio feature in World’s best
Three New Zealand-breds have featured prominently in the latest Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings.
Probabeel, Kolding, and Furore, have each been given a rating of 117, ranking them 12th equal in the world this year.
The Jamie Richards-trained Probabeel is undefeated this year, having won the Gr.3 Bellmaine Stakes (1200m) first-up before winning last month’s Gr.1 Futurity Stakes (1400m), which sealed her place amongst the world’s best this year.
Kolding finished runner-up in the Gr.2 Expressway Stakes (1200m) and Gr.2 Apollo Stakes (1200m) for trainer Chris Waller, while the Tony Cruz-trained Furore placed in the Gr.3 Centenary Vase (1800m) and Gr.1 Hong Kong Gold Cup (2000m).
Meanwhile, New Zealand Bloodstock graduate Golden Sixty has been ranked third-equal in the world with a rating of 120 after victories in the Gr.1 Stewards’ Cup (1600m) and Hong Kong Gold Cup.
Saudi Cup winner Mishriff tops the world’s rankings with a rating of 122.
