Racing, hospitality, and fashion – NZCIS Wellington Cup Carnival hits the winning trifecta! A highlight on the social calendar of Wellingtonians (and those further afar!), here’s your (race)day-by-day breakdown.

Group 1 Glory Day - Saturday 16 January 

As far as top-class racing goes, it doesn't get much better than Group 1 Glory Day. Featuring the Group 1 JR & N Berkett Telegraph and Group 1 Devan Plastics Levin Classic, get up close to some of the country's most elite thoroughbreds and watch history be written. 

With general admission tickets on offer for $10 and member for a day tickets $20, witnessing thoroughbred racing at the top level has never been so easy!

Clubs NZ Family Day - Saturday 23 January 

Think jandals, sunhats and picnic blankets - as the name suggests, 23 January provides the perfect opportunity to kick back with the family and enjoy summer racing at its finest. There'll be a circus of children's entertainment on offer (read: you'll be left in peace to enjoy the racing and a beverage or two...), including a petting zoo, face painting, pony rides and kids’ fashion in the field competition. What's more: children under 17-years will enjoy free entry! 

Pack a chilly bin, pitch yourself a base for the day and enjoy a good old-fashioned relaxed day at the races. A general admission ticket will set you back $10 and a member for a day ticket $20.

NZCIS Wellington Cup Day - Saturday 30 January 

As Wellington Racing Club puts it themselves, there's no party like it - and we'll vouch for that too! A day where there is something for anyone and everyone; stunning hospitality, live music, craft beer village, fashion in the field, Group 1 racing, it’s all happening this Wellington Cup Day.

Word to the wise: Super early bird tickets are available until this Friday! Be sure to grab a $20 general admission or $70 member for a day ticket before the prices go up. If it’s hospitality you’re after, six of the hospitality areas on offer are now sold out. Don’t go leaving your run too late!
