LAEKEEPER had a good confidence-building open hurdle win ahead of Saturday’s Hawke’s Bay Hurdles. Not much has gone right lately for last year’s Great Northern runner-up, but there’s still time to make amends.

A hard-held win over 900m marked ONEROA as a filly to watch out for. The Baker/Forsman-trained daughter of Shooting To Win holds an entry for the NZ 1000 Guineas and shouldn’t have any problems taking the first step to Riccarton when she lines up on raceday.
