Otaki treble for Moki

Central Districts apprentice jockey Zinjete Moki had one of her most memorable days at Otaki on Friday, riding a treble and recording her 50th win as a jockey.

She recorded her first victory of the day aboard the Robbie Patterson-trained Dezella in the Gardner Homes (1400m), beating Reliably Perky by two lengths.

Moki then gave Patterson a double when running away to a 6-1/4 length victory on $2.50 favourite Coventina Bay in the Aquashield Roofing (1200m).

She then capped off the day with victory aboard the Suzy Gordon-trained Play The Field in the Kapiti Signs (1200m), bringing up her 50th win.

Moki was not the only apprentice in form at the meeting, with Ryan Elliot taking out the Cavallo Farm & Chris Rutten Bloodstock (2200m), while Sam O’Malley recorded a winning double aboard The Puketapu Lad and Bruno Stars.
