Stables awarded for lifting their game

This weekend New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing’s Ambassador, Kylie Bax Poros, will be presenting two awards for the teams behind the horses. The awards are for the Best Presented Horse and for The Best Presented Stable at Hawke’s Bay Racing’s, Turks Spring Classic Day.

The awards are designed to acknowledge the strappers and stables who make a real effort to ensure their horses and teams look professional and are well turned out.

“Strappers do so much hard work and are not acknowledged for this work often enough, so this is one way we can acknowledge them, while encouraging our industry to do even better” Kylie said.

The "Best Presented Horse" will be awarded to the strapper of the best turned out horse in the feature race. They will get a trophy, recognition on the day and a $100 TAB Betting voucher.

The “Best Presented Stable” will be for the Stable whose horses, staff and trainer are consistently presented the best from the first race up until the feature race of the day. The Best Presented Stable will receive a trophy, recognition on the day and a $100 TAB Betting voucher.
