2013 Thoroughbred Horse of the Year Finalists

‹ Back to Press Release listingsNew Zealand Thoroughbred Racing (NZTR) announced today finalists for all 2012-13 Thoroughbred Horse of the Year Awards. The winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner at the Claudelands Events Centre, Hamilton, on Thursday, 15 August 2013.
Matthew Goodson, Chairman of NZTR, offered his congratulations to all finalists nominated for this year’s annual Awards:
“Every one of these finalists have been outstanding performers over the last 12 months and have helped to promote our wonderful racing and breeding industries.”
”At our annual Awards Dinner in Hamilton on the evening of 15 August we will find out which horses, their owners, breeders, trainers and riders, will be crowned New Zealand Champions.We will also celebrate on that night someone who has made an Outstanding Contribution to Racing in New Zealand over many years.”
Finalists for the Owner of the Year, Trainer of the Year, Jockey of the Year, Jumps Jockey of the Year and the three Stallion Awards (Grosvenor Award, Dewar Award and Centaine Award) will be announced on 1 August, immediately after the close of the current season.
