When spoken to regarding the performance of KAYS UNITE which finished in last placing, rider P Taylor advised Stewards the filly had been trapped wide throughout and still had plenty to learn racing manners wise. Stewards ordered a post-race veterinary examination of KAYS UNITE which revealed a slow recovery rate. Trainer T Prendergast advised the filly had previously been treated for Pericarditis but had recovered well and that the slow recovery rate may be a recurrence. The connections were advised a veterinary clearance would be required before KAYS UNITE returned to the races.
